This Privacy Policy describes how Unified™ (“we”, “our”, or “the Application”) collects, uses, and protects information when you utilize our desktop application and associated cloud synchronization services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum necessary information required to authenticate your license and back up your workspace:

Google Account Information: When you connect your Google account, we access your basic profile information (email address, name, and unique user identifier) solely to verify your account and associate your license.
Hardware Identifier: A non-reversible cryptographic hash derived from hardware components to manage single-seat device activation and prevent unauthorized distribution.
Application Data: Documents, preferences, and workspace templates created within the software.

2. Google Drive Data & Storage Scope

Unified™ requests access to the restricted Google Drive Application Data folder (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata). Use of this scope complies strictly with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:

All workspace snapshots and backups are stored exclusively in your personal, hidden Google Drive application data folder.
We do not transfer, sell, or disclose your Google Drive data to any external parties or advertising networks.
Our servers do not maintain permanent copies of your personal documents; data is transferred directly between your local client and your Google Drive.

3. Data Retention and Security

Authentication tokens stored locally on your device are protected using operating system-level encryption (Windows DPAPI / Apple Keychain). Communication with external APIs is conducted over Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). You may disconnect your Google account or deactivate your license at any time directly through the application settings.

4. Children’s Privacy

The Application is intended for general business and productivity purposes and does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any revisions will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
